CCTV operators can monitor camera systems, identify unusual activity, follow incident and escalation procedures, maintain logs, communicate with site teams and support the preservation of relevant footage in line with the client’s procedures and applicable data-protection requirements.
Public-space surveillance activity that falls within SIA licensing must be performed by an appropriately licensed operative. WRS checks the licence type and status against the assignment.
We review licence information, identity/Right to Work, work history, references, relevant CCTV experience and the client’s system/site requirements. Site induction and client-specific procedures remain important even for experienced operators.
